Brief History of M.H.S.A Old Student's Association.

The association was established to catered for some of the needs of the school, the association came into being on the 14th of july. 2011 by a group of old student.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVE
Aimed at retrieving the lost glory of the institution academically.
Giving scholarship to overall best performing student to boast their moral.
Organise a seminar, quiz competiton and debte for students for both intra and inter classes to motivate and encourage them.
Monitoring their movement and keep them inline with school rule and regulation.
Presently the association is been piloted by the following acting caretaker:

Bar. Muhammed O. Ademu(Esq) _Legal Adviser
The following committees were also set up to carry out the school activities.
1) Academic Committee
2) Disciplinary\monitoring committe
3) Information committee.
The weekly congress metting of the assocition is scheduled for every Sunday by 9am to 11pm,

Muslim High School Anyigba is a progressive, co-Educational muslim secondary school for student in grade 7 to 12 (jss1 to sss3) located on the outskirt of Anyigba kogi state, Nigeria. A public school with the kogi state ministry of Education, Muslim High School prepares students for admission to university, polytechnic and college of Education in Nigeria and beyound.
The school has a challenging academic program.The small school setting with it's highly qualified faculty and classes provides students with high academic standard, much individual attention and opportunities with leadership development. Arabic and Islamic studies form an integral part of the curriculum.
Muslim High School Anyigba is open to Anyigba resident and Nigerian.

Umar was born at Anyigba in 1952 to a Muslim scholar,Muallim Muhammed Thani Abdullahi
He attended the famous Arabia primary school, Idah, He left for Zaria in 1969 to continue his acquisition of Islamic knowledge under one Muhammed Mallam Karami. He left Zaria for Kano in 1979.
He returned to Anyigba when news reached him that his father was critically ill in 1981. After his father's death in the same year,Umar was appointed deputy,Naib Imam Anyigba.
Umar was formally chosen as Imam Anyigba at the age of 29 in 1983 with Alhaji Abdul'Azeez Idris as the deputy,
He (Umar) was one of the first person to have suggested the need to have an Islamic secondary school in Anyigba and made all effort to see that it was established.
He supervised the building of the blocks of class rooms and offices in the school from beginning to the present stage.
He travelled to different parts of the country trying to convince various Islamic organisations on the need to help the young institution. The Muslim High School Anyigba became fully operational on 5 february, 1987
He got married to ALTINE, a Kanuri, lady in 1980.His latest marriage was in 1994. He left behind 2 wives and 9 children.
